This March we were delighted to kick off our four-week course An Introduction to Genealogy here in the Irish Family History Centre.
Historian and Genealogist Declan Brady gave a fascinating first lecture on Research Methods and Census Records, getting participants familiar with the initial stages of family history and where to begin.
The course will run for the next three Sundays @ 2:30pm and will cover the following topics:

Week 2 (31st March): Civil Registration and Church Records

Week 3 (7th April): Land and Testamentary Records

Week 4 (14th April): Military, Institutional and Writing up your Family Tree.
Participants who have enrolled in the course also receive access to the Irish Family History Centre for the duration of the course.
