What is inside?

The Return of Parish Registers for the Dioceses of England and Wales was published in 1831. Although a short publication it lists what Dioceses, to Parish level, were making returns of the registers of baptisms, marriages and burials. Although the detail of information returned varies from Diocese to Diocese, it a comprehensive listing, including a total of 27 Dioceses. In many cases there are also listings of the parishes which have not made returns.
